Veggie Protein Steak – Spelt

Bertyn Veggie Protein Seitan steak: 250g - Spelt

Spelt is an old variety of grain that has attracted renewed attention from the organic sector as a result of cultivation conditions, namely that is uses less fertiliser, has better resistance to disease and has a hard kernel with a high protein level. As a result of these excellent properties, we now also make spelt seitan.

“Seitan can be an excellent alternative to red meat in many dishes, and when used in conjunction with the right spices and seasonings, can taste very similar. It’s also loaded with protein — that’s what it is, after all. Wheat protein.” “Hail seitan? Damn right — if you’re looking for an alternative to red meat” cheatsheet.com
