Seitan curry: seitan tapenade with vegan curry

Ingrediënten

  • 2 Veggie Mince
  • 3 shallots
  • mayonnaise or veganaise
  • curry powder, according to preference
  • a pinch of Curcumax Botanico-mi (Amanprana)
  • juice of half a lemon
  • a handful of fresh parsley

Chicken curry… Hmmmm, so delicious – but no chicken has to worry about ending up in this meal!

  1. Take the mince out of the packet and separate using your hands.
  2. Dice the shallot very finely and mix with the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Add the mayonnaise or veganaise, until a stiff consistency is obtained.
  4. Top with a sprinkling of finely chopped parsley.

What could make a better snack than tapenade? Everyone knows the classic tapenade of green olives, sun-dried tomatoes or black olives. But here’s something new for you to try: a delicious seitan curry! It’s a vegan curry made from seitan. We make it using our delicious seitan mince, which is already chopped into perfect little pieces.

“I am just back from a week of cooking for a group of beginner yoga teachers. I had never cooked with fresh seitan before and when I was presented with this product I felt rather ill at ease about it. Then I read the simple description on the pack and after baking it on both sides for 2x 5min I ended up with a great looking product which a lot of the participants really enjoyed eating. We were surprised about the intense bite and flavour sensation. After a week of cooking for the participants there was still some seitan left over at the end, so I took a portion home with me. My partner has made delicious rice waffle burgers with curry, onion, salad, pepper and shoots from it. Much better than a lot of the veggie burgers that you find in the shops. It is a truly delicious treat!”
