Discover the new Seitan Tops from Bertyn

At Bertyn we love to play with our recipes for the various seitan types and flavours. Trade fairs, cooking demonstrations, reviews and spontaneous reactions all help us to understand what people think of our products, what they expect and what their experiences are. The result of all this is that we have recently made our Teriyaki Protein Tops and Gula Java Chili Protein Tops even more delicious! Now available for you to try.

A delicious sauce to go with your Bertyn seitan Tops: now with less sugar

So what did we change? The sauce is still full of delicious and 100% organic ingredients, every one of them carefully selected, but now both varieties contain 50% less sugar. We noticed that when we used less sugar, the flavours of the other ingredients were brought to the fore, while the sweetness of the coconut blossom sugar was still perfectly evident.

Seitan Tops packaging resized

The packaging for both our Teriyaki Protein Tops and our Gula Java Chili Protein Tops has been resized, making it easier to hold and more sustainable in terms of transporting. We have opted to replace the 400 gram package with a 200 gram package, which is perfect for a meal for two.

Seitan Tops is delicious for every occasion

The Bertyn Protein Tops is made of delicious strips of high-protein seitan. Combine Bertyn Protein Tops with salads, noodles or rice. Or use it in a wrap or on a taco, topped with vegetables, grated cheese and nachos. Bertyn is the tastiest meat and fish substitute.

What fans say about Bertyn

Miki Duerinck & Kristin Leybaert

cooks of the vegetarian cookery studio and authors of 4 vegetarian cooking books, Ghent

“Even if we never manage to convert the world to the vast majority of meat replacements, one product remains decidedly hopeful: the Manitoba wheat and soy sauce-based, traditionally produced seitan manufactured by Bertyn. It brings together the two qualities required if you justifiably want to call a product a ‘meat replacement’: it is pure and natural and very tasty. It is on sale in health food shops, vacuum packed as seitan steak, seitan supreme or in ‘block form’. It is easy to prepare: the seitan is baked, steamed or cooked in a flash because it never requires lengthy cooking times. So from now on no restaurant has a valid excuse for not putting such a vegetarian dish on the menu.”
